South India Travel in Focus with Depreciating Rupee

The rupee is sharply sinking to its historic low. It has resulted in costlier outbound travel. Rest of the troubles has been aggravated by the recent natural disaster in Uttarakhand and Kashmir unrest. However as India is immensely rich the travel opportunities are in abundance here. South India has come into a sharp focus in wake of all this thus becoming the preferred destination in the contemporary times.

Pondering on the booking numbers, it has been found that those embarking on their Visit to India have drastically increased. The growth has been found nearly 40-50 per cent. It may be deducted from the aftermath of Uttarakhand tragedy that those opting for the same have been turning towards south.

South India temple tour is on the rise with enhanced bookings for destinations such as Tirupati, Madurai, Kanchipuram, Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari. One of the leading travel portals has exceeded to 50 per cent growth in wake of pilgrimage tour bookings.

The fact of the matter is that tourist traffic to the south has increased by not only the domestic travellers but the inbound tourists as well. Destinations such as Ooty, Coorg, Kabini, Pondicherry, Chikmagalur, Kodaikanal, Mahabalipuram, Tirupati and Rameshwaram are much in discussion these days.

Indeed, as per the current trend, South India is in sharp focus and it seems that it will remain so for a long time considering the present state of affairs in terms of tourism.
